How long have you been in your nominated field?

I have worked in the fashion industry for approximately seven years.

What professional achievements have you acquired during your years in your field?

The years I have spent in working in fashion have been and continue to be extremely rewarding in both my professional and personal life. There is a multitude of accomplishments I could enumerate on, however there are a few which are particular gratifying.

The first year in my career in fashion I was named top wardrobe stylist in the Los Angeles regions with the BCBG Max Azria Group.  This achievement allowed to expand my professional development and gain employment as a celebrity accessory stylist at a premier luxury jewelry company in Beverly Hills.  The time I spent there allowed me to travel all over the US and glean from the preeminent professionals in the fashion industry. Despite this great opportunity, I came to the realization that I could build someone else’s passion or I could pursue my own dreams, and decided begin this process in my native town of San Antonio.

My time in San Antonio has allowed me to style for a local faith based program airing on the CW Television Network and reaches over two million households.  Although I am based out of San Antonio I have been able to expand my profession reach well beyond the city limits, including working on nationwide commercial campaigns as well as being featured in leading high fashion publications.  One achievement regarding these publications I am particular proud of was when the Hollywood Reporter quoted me along with the Kardashians and Lucy Hale during Fashion Week.

What do you plan to do with your business to help the San Antonio Fashion Industry grow in a positive way?

In my business, as in all things, I know and understand that I must combine my labor with whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, and whatever is good. Because with the passage of time I know my work and business will in time fade away, but the good and positive impact of the work will remain.  By using this creative platform the best way to improve and grow San Antonio’s fashion industry is not through exurbanite and complicated plans, instead I want to focus on staying true to my moral code and values and acting as if everything I do makes a difference, because even the smallest and unnoticed good deed it is worth far more than the most grandiose intention.
