How long have you been in your nominated field?
I have been in the Beauty industry for around 6yrs, I started in 2010. I have been doing hair and makeup for photo shoots and runway stuff for around 4 yrs. And I started creating costume pieces, accessories and head pieces around 2 or 3 yrs ago, to add another element to the photo shoots I was working on.
What professional achievements have you acquired during your years in your field?
In March I believe of 2014 I participated in the RAW artist show at back stage live, it was my first runway show with my own work. 5 models wearing my chain and wire headpieces. I then received the title of RAW makeup artist of the year 2014.
What do you plan to do with your business to help the San Antonio Fashion Industry grow in a positive way?
I think my style and aesthetic just goes to show how diverse this city can be. I am not from San Antonio but I have been here 8yrs. I moved here to pursue the arts with my style at the time being very culturally ethnic. Now, it still has a very ethnic and tribal feel to it , but has evolved into something bigger. And it has been because of the people I have met and worked with here in San Antonio that my style continues to grow. So diversity awareness is what I would hope to bring to the Fashion community here in San Antonio or Texas in general. We are not all cookie cutter and “lame” here in San Anto!
